I love the Walking Dead on AMC! It gets harder and harder to wait for Sunday to roll around, and now it is on a short holiday hiatus, I find myself going to Netflix to watch old episodes to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'm that way about Orange is the New Black too. Just so addicted. How trusting others creates pain and disappointment

The decisions we have to make in life are hard sometimes. That’s what makes life so hard, the choices we must make in order to move on. Take for instance the breakdown of a friendship. No one wants to go through it because it causes mental pain, from unanswered questions. Like why did they betray me like this, why did they talk to me like that, etc. When we put our trust in other humans we are bound to experience disappointment. That’s just how it is. My mother once told me that no one will treat you as good as you will treat yourself. She didn’t lie. Because humans are creatures of habits we don’t want to dissolve a friendship, we want to give it another shot, another chance just on the off chance the other person has changed. But when we give it another chance, that’s when more stress, mental pain, and further disappointment comes in because that other person thinks you’re a sucker, or a fool. The other person has shown you who they are, and yet you are coming back for more. When you’re a righteous doing person, you want to give someone else another shot, to get it right, but when right is not in them, they won’t be able to treat you right and fooling with them is a waste of time. They’ve shown you, who they are, so believe it and let them be. Just a Saturday morning rambling as I meander through the canals of life.

Next to Christmas, back to school shopping is my favorite shopping season. Back to school shopping signals the end of summer vacation and time for the kids to go back to school. Here's an INFOGRAPHIC about planning for back to school shopping as well as some of the top things on your kid's back to school wish list.

Network Marketers Quit and Start Over All The Time

Network marketers quit one home based business opportunity and start another one all the time. They get frustrated because the reality sets in that owning a home based business is hard work and most people quit early because they don't see returns on their investment soon enough. One thing you have to remember is to become your own cheerleader. Talk yourself into doing what you need to do everyday. Encourage yourself to keep going even if you don't make any sales today or sign up any new distributors. Sometimes when you're tempted to give up, you can hang in there by taking things a moment at a time. Rather than worrying about what comes tomorrow or the day after, just focus on getting through this day - or even one little moment at a time. Keep repeating to yourself, "Right NOW I will not quit. Quitting never finds a winner; and winners never, ever quit.

There are lots of network marketing/MLM opportunities available. But you will never be successful if you don't learn how to be successful. Spend some time learning your industry, learning your product, and learning how to market your product to the right people who are looking for your product. There are millions of people on the internet, surely you can find at least one of them who wants to work with you. But, no one will work with you or for you if you don't present yourself as a creditable professional who knows what they're doing. Remember, people buy from people they like, and not necessarily because they like the product. If your customer likes and trusts you, they will buy from you repeatedly. Work on making yourself better and your life will be better and you can stop quitting and starting over and over with different network marketing opportunities.

Definitely take a look at VidaCup, we're looking for professionals who won't quit when the going gets tough. Call the opportunity telephone number shown in the graphic below then allow me to send you some information by taking a tour here: LaTease's VidaCup Tour.

How can banks use social media?

Banks usually struggle with the implementation of a strong social media campaign that does not impinge on customer privacy while also operating within the confines of FDIC regulations. There is a case study about this issue with Yampa Valley Bank. They overcame industry uncertainty and fears of social media by focusing on personalized attention given to customers and designed a YouTube and Facebook presence on this platform.

Can You Make Money with a Home Based Business?

If and when you make the decision to become a home based business owner, you must understand one simple and constant fact: It takes money to make money. It doesn't matter if you're selling Avon (it costs to get started); or if you want to be a Mary Kay sales rep and one day drive a pink car, there is a cost to do that. So, don't let an excuse that it costs money or that it looks like a pyramid scheme hold you back from pursuing your dreams! Mary Kay, Avon, even companies like Nike have levels. These are levels or management positions you earn by doing a good job. That's not a pyramid scheme, at least you don't call them pyramid schemes; instead you call them promotions! It is the same way with VidaCup, it is free to join, but you need to buy your product samples so you can pass out those samples to other coffee lovers. And believe me there are no shortage of coffee lovers. There are over 2 billion cups of coffee drank everyday in the world and "The average U.S. worker spends $1,092 on coffee each year." (Source: Mental Floss) Why not grab your share of the coffee business?

4. Strategize and streamline your garden care by grouping plants together according to their treatment requirements.

5. When you're creating a path, keep in mind to make them wide enough to negotiate with wheelbarrows and other large-scale tools.

How to Protect Your Privacy From Social Graph on Facebook

Facebook's Social Graph has been rolled out to the public now and personally, I don't like it. I liked being able to search in the old search bar method and find people and things I didn't know existed. With the Social Graph, it is an individual users' nightmare, while it is helpful to marketers. But, one thing that most people don't know about Facebook's Social Graph is that it diminishes your privacy. Now is the time to learn how to manage your privacy controls on Facebook.

If you want to keep some things in your life personal, set your privacy controls to 'friends only.' There are many employers who use social networks to do background research on potential candidates. Having that photo of you and your crew throwing back Tequila shots may not be the first impression you want to give to a potential employer. There are 97,000 photos on Facebook, make sure any pictures you're tagged in don't embarrass you. Make sure you set your privacy controls to alert you whenever someone tags you in a photo or even attempts to post to your timeline.

These are just a couple of safety measures you can implement on Facebook with the release to the masses of their Social Graph tool. Take a look at the INFOGRAPHIC below for more suggestions.

Where Are PayDay Loans Banned? [INFOGRAPHIC]

PayDay loans are good and bad. Good because when paid back in full on time, they can help you meet financial needs when you come up short. However, when you borrow a PayDay loan, make sure you can pay it off in full when it is due, if not, you may end up paying up to 300% interest rates on the loans. Ouch! Sounds like a loan shark. Well, because of that high interest rate, some states have banned PayDay loans altogether. This INFOGRAPHIC shows which states have said no to PayDay loans. See if your state is on the graphic.

Lysol Touch of Foam Antibacterial Hand Wash is so Foamy!

I was pleasantly surprised when my free bottle of Lysol Touch of Foam Antibacterial Hand Wash arrived. First off, it was my favorite scent, lavender, then the fact that it was foamy upon dispensing, as opposed to liquid, was a nice twist on an old idea. Lysol products are trusted in my household because as a child, my mother only used Lysol products, especially Lysol Concentrate Disinfectant. So naturally, I was a little apprehensive when Bzz Agent told me that Lysol had a hand wash product available. I like this product and will definitely use it in the future. If you'd like to try it, Lysol was kind enough to send me a small booklet of coupons. Leave a comment if you'd like to try it out, I'll send you a coupon!

Top Twitter Success Advice: Tweet In Your Own Voice!

If you want to be Retweeted, shared and have lots of followers on Twitter, Tweet in your own voice! Talk to people on the other side of your computer screen as if they're sitting right in front of you. Keep it real, keep it individually you. That's the key to success on Twitter--plain and simple. Sure you can look at algorithms and mathematical equations, but at the end of the day, just keep it real. Just act normal. Some of y'all act like you're in front of a camera posing, being something you're not. If you're a slouch in real life, then that's just who you are, sorry. When I used to take pictures in the clubs, people would come up to me and pay $10 for a 5x7 photo at the club. Then when they see their photo, they would be like, "I look like that?"

My initial response would be, "yes; you looked like that when you left home." Obviously, I don't do club pictures anymore, LOL. But, you get my point, just be you. That's all you have anyway, why are you trying to be something you're not? That's why Twitter is so hard to you, that's why you don't get many Retweets. Just be you, besides, who else are you going to be?

Facebook Exchange or Standard Web Targeting? [INFOGRAPHIC]

>br>
Facebook is a behemoth when it comes to advertising. There isn't another ad platform out there that can boast over one billion users (except McDonalds and they aren't an ad platform LOL!) With those kinds of numbers, many marketers are wondering if Facebook can deliver. So, it's no wonder that marketers all over the world are seeking to maximize the opportunity that is Facebook advertising. Standard web targeting, even though they are traditional in their delivery, still beats Facebook using standard retargeting. Both are highly effective methods to advertise, but as you can see, investing in both types of marketing is a wise move. Take a look at the Infographic below, and check out the statistics.

How to write great marketing copy that converts

There isn’t a marketer in the world that doesn’t wish all their marketing copy converts into a sale. So you write what you believe is killer copy and release it to the unknown masses, and voila, only get what, eight (8) sales?!

I’ve been there, so I’m not making fun of you. So, because I share your pain, I felt it was my duty to help you figure out how to fix our problem. One way to do this is to think like the customer. You must put yourself in the customers’ shoes in order to write great copy. It is here where the magic begins.

First you want to begin to think what makes your customer make decisions. You can easily do this by thinking about yourself. What causes you to make a choice?

• Is it fear?
• Fear of flying
• Fear of dying
• Fear of heights
• Fear of the dark
• Fear of intimacy
• Fear of commitment
• Fear of crowds
• Fear of making a mistake
• Fear of rejection
• Fear of abandonment
• Fear of change
• Fear of the unknown

Fear is the number one motivator in us, and a powerful tool to use when writing marketing copy that converts into sales. The list above is a compilation of some of the most common fears known to humans. There are more, but off the top of my head, these are the cream of the crop. As marketing managers, we make a living off fear and deprivation. Our writing creates mental images of what you will not have and what your biggest fears are if you don’t buy our products. So, you should format your marketing copy by starting with a fear that your customer has, and then a solution (your product) and what it can do for your customer.

The first part of your marketing message should be comprised of a fear, the second part is what your product or service can do for your customer that can eliminate that fear. You can think of this as the solution part of your message. In it, you want to tell and more importantly show your customers how your product will make them feel:

• Safer
• As though they have more social status
• More beautiful or handsome
• More attractive to others
• Sexier
• More virile
• Smarter
• More likable
• As though you are a better mother or father
• As though you are a better husband or wife
• More competent in your work
• Like a better breadwinner/provider for your family
• More unique
• More lovable
• More loving
• More compassionate
• Stronger
• Faster
• As though your life has more meaning
• Like you are making a difference in the world

All these emotion descriptive will make your customers feel something. Your job is to create an image in their minds with your marketing copy. Last, you want to include a call to action in your marketing copy to make sure it converts to a sale. A call to action is going to be “buy it now,” “limited time offer,” or “the first 100 customers receive free shipping.” All of these lines are effective call to actions (CTA’s) and you want to use them in every piece of marketing copy you write.

Just to recap, you want to create a motivating fear, then a solution, then a call to action in order to write effective marketing copy that sells and converts. What types of things do you write that make your copy convert? Let us know below in the comment section.

Facebook Groups: Do they work? (an update)

To Sign Up For Auto Affiliate X - It's FREE!

A few months back I reported that Facebook Groups don't work. At that time, I wrote, "Forget making a sale or getting a signup from being a member of Facebook groups, you may from time to time get a like for a comment you make if that comment is read by someone who hasn't been a member for long." Well, I need to modify that. I decided a few weeks ago to try posting a new affiliate program I have called Auto Affiliate X. I posted daily in a minimum of 20 internet marketing groups per day with an average membership of 2500. Since that time I am happy to report that I have 6 sales in one week. I believe it depends on what type of product offered to these groups. If a believable product is offered to these internet marketers (lead generation products or list building strategies), then you are more likely to make sales. I'm going to continue marketing this product to them, as I stand corrected, Facebook Group advertising does work.

How to choose the right in-home heating unit

HeatAndCool.com

Choosing an in-home heating unit can be tricky, there are thousands of brands and models to sift through. How do you choose the right one for you? There are a few factors to consider when choosing a furnace for your home.

1. Brand

Many furnaces in today's market have proven to be reliable and offer limited or lifetime warranties. HeatandCool.com carries a wide selection of Klimaire and Lennox furnaces, they also offer unlimited technical support and a hassle free warranty processing.

2. Efficiency 80% or 95%

Over time furnaces become less efficient. If you are looking for a replacement furnace your current unit is likely at 50% efficiency. An upgrade will certainly save you gas and money. If you're going to be in a home for 5 years or less an 80% would be a great investment and offer you savings on gas. Of course 95% units are helpful for resale value if you plan to sell. If you plan on being in your home for 5 years or more, it makes a lot of sense to go with the 95%. HeatandCool.com offers an incredible selection of 80% efficiency units at low prices!

3. Rebates (Incentives)

Many furnace manufacturers offer rebates or incentives on higher efficiency heating units. In 2011 gas companies started offering $200 to $250 rebate to install a 95% unit offsetting a lot of the cost difference. This rebate will help offset the cost of your new unit. Many of the furnaces at HeatandCool.com qualify for this federal tax rebate.

4. 1 Stage vs. 2 Stage Furnace

The stage refers to the burners and gas valve in the furnace. If you have a single stage furnace, all 100.000 BTUs come on at once all the time whether it's 50 Degrees or -10 degrees. The 2 stage offers a gas saving solution that makes the burners and gas valve run at 60% capacity, so that same 100.000 BTU furnace now becomes a 60.000 BTU furnace or a 100.000 BTU furnace, depending on outside temperature.

5. Variable Speed vs. Non-Variable Speed

This refers to the furnace blower. Most manufactures give you a standard 4 speed blower: low, med low, med high, and high. This means that it is not variable speed. It means you have 4 speeds. Before considering this investment to variable speed ask yourself, is my home comfortable now? If you answered yes, then you probably don't need variable speed. If you answered no then you should consider a system that maximizes comfort. HeatandCool.com offers a great selection of variable speed and non-variable speed units.

With all these things considered you are ready to select a new furnace! HeatandCool.com offers an incredible selection of heating units at low prices. You get FREE shipping and pay no sales tax outside of Florida. Right now you can save 40% on select gas furnaces.

Are you an Uber Geek? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Bet you didn't know actors Jeff Goldblum and Wil Wheaton are considered uber geeks? Or that what you carry in your messenger bag will determine if you are an uber geek. It used to be a time when geeks or nerds were unfashionable. However, thanks to the TV show "The Big Bang Theory," geeks and nerds are significantly in style. Think about it, who do you call when your computer has a virus that keeps you off Facebook? The geek in the family. I know I call my youngest brother because he was born a geek and he is the coolest geek I know. Take a look at this uber geek infographic and find out if you or someone you know is an uber geek.

What's hot in Consumer Electronics [INFOGRAPHIC]

Now that CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2013 is over, we can sit back and oogle over the newest innovations in consumer electronics. For instance, Toshiba has created an 84 inch ultra-HD television. Look how far we've come! Just last year at CES 2012 LG unveiled a 55-inch ultra slim TV that has yet to hit the stores. (Wonder if that was just a prototype?) Anyway, take a look at what's next, and be prepared to spend, spend, and spend.

Do You Live In A Cancer Hot Spot? [INFOGRAPHIC]

I love Infographics! And this week each blog post will feature a new infographic. Some will be social media oriented, or business marketing based. However, an Infographic will definitely grace the pages of this blog.

Today's Infographic deals with Cancer and the highest rates of cancer in the United States. I live in Missouri and it happens to have a very high rate of cancer compared to the other 49 states. My father died of lung cancer and just two weeks ago I lost an aunt to breast and lung cancer after being in remission 12 years. According to NowSourcing, "Did you know that where you live might put you at a higher risk of getting cancer? Environmental factors account for an estimated 75-80% of cancer cases and deaths in the U.S. This first infographic provides a map of America’s cancer hot spots and information about cancers certain carcinogens cause as well as household items you might want to avoid using." The following Infographic will certainly spark some watercooler discussions and comments. Leave them below, tell me, what state do you live in?

Law Enforcement Use Social Media Just Like You {INFOGRAPHIC}

If you're running from the law, you might want to reconsider your use of social media. It seems that in recent years, law enforcement officials have increased their use of social media websites. Think of how many recent criminals have made the local and national news because they had Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts. A young Ohio woman recently tweeted that she wished death upon President Obama, and before she could hit the send button, the Secret Service was at her door with handcuffs. What is said on social media websites is not private, anyone and especially law enforcement has access to it. The Infographic below proves just that. Take a look at the ways law enforcers utilize social media to monitor criminal activity.

How to Market to International Customers {INFOGRAPHIC}

Thinking of expanding into global markets? You probably already communicate with international customers on Twitter and Facebook, but expanding into an international market requires planning. You have to take the culture, the environment and how you're going to market into consideration. Maybe a joint venture instead of going solo will be a better strategy? In order to be successful in international markets you must first learn what their needs are and tailor your products and services to the customers in those markets. Many companies have failed because they did not respect the customs nor understand the needs of international customers. Take a look at the Infographic below which gives you an idea of how to plan your first 100 days in an international market.

The Missing Link: How To Get Leads For Your Business

It's the main reason why internet marketers fail: the inability to get leads for their business. Certainly it's the missing link, because a prospect signs up for a great home based business opportunity, they love the compensation plan, in fact they see nothing but dollar signs. However, there is a gap, something is missing between signing up for the opportunity and making money from it. That is the missing link. How to get leads in order to make sales.

There are many ways to generate leads in order to make sales for your internet marketing opportunities. It really depends on your budget. For the beginning marketer who has limited funds, I recommend starting off with safelists and traffic exchanges. This is how I first got started back in 2003. I created a lead capture page, and advertised that link in the traffic exchanges and safelists that I was a member of. In addition, I created a blog to write about various topics in marketing so that I could help people and share knowledge. The safelists and traffic exchanges send visitors to your lead capture page and visitors fill out the form there and that is how you get leads to market your business opportunities to. However, you don't want to send emails out from your personal or free email account like Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail. Instead you always want to be professional and send out responses from your email client like Aweber, Vertical Response or SendStream. You will be able to manage your mailings better this way if done correctly.

5 Steps To Making More Money in 2013 with MCA

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” – Thomas Edison

Looking back on 2012, if I could change anything about the way I promoted my MCA (Motor Club of America) opportunity, it would be that I would use email marketing more. Currently, I use Facebook to promote MCA by tagging people that have given me permission to do so, and by gaining leads from Facebook and the distribution of full color flyers. My biggest month for signups was October when I had 16 sales. After that I dropped off a bit because I had out of town training for my company, and school was winding down. However, in hindsight if I could change five things about my promotion methods in 2012 to impact more sales in 2013 here is what I would do:
1. Change my thinking. People don't buy products and services because I'm offering a product that offers Emergency Road Service, Travel Assistance Reimbursement, Trip Planning and Travel Reservations, Stolen Vehicle Reward, Discounts on Prescriptions, Vision Care, and Dental and credit card protection. No, instead people buy from people they like. With that being said, I've got to make it personal, and appeal to their basic human needs and emotions.

2. Be a better listener. When I receive calls from prospects I have a tendency to get excited. Getting excited causes me to lose focus of the conversation and what it is the prospect is REALLY asking. There are at least three telephone conversations I had with potential prospects that have caused me to think after I ended the call how I could have handled that call better so that the caller would have been joined the MCA opportunity.

3. Marketing strategies and business building go hand in hand. For 2013, my new marketing strategy to build my MCA business will be to practice backcasting. You've heard of forecasting, well backcasting is the act of seeing the end result of a marketing strategy and work backwards to the beginning of that strategy. That way I can make sure I cover every detail in customer acquisition.

4. Get more customers! No explanation needed here, never lose my focus, and just keep grinding!

5. Follow up better on all my leads from Craigslist. Just because a person isn't ready to enter the opportunity at the time of the initial contact, doesn't mean they won't change their mind. Persistence without turning people off is a skill that I have acquired through years of outside sales experience. In 2013, I will use this skill more.

If you don't know what the MCA opportunity is (a shameless plug here), then check out this video and leave me a comment to get started. This opportunity is for U.S. and Canada only at this time.

How to Make Your Autoresponder Smarter {VIDEO}

Want to know how to make your autoresponder smarter? There are a couple of tricks I learned while fine tuning my email marketing skills, and a couple of them is to pay attention to the time the email is sent as it relates to how many opens my messages got.

First, look at when subscribers are opening your emails and/or clicking your links (the Opens over Time and Clicks Over Time reports will show you this) and adjust your send windows so your messages stand out at the top of the inbox during those times!
Or, run a weekend sale – schedule one of your follow ups to only send on Friday mornings!
See, sometimes my readers opened more of the email marketing messages I sent to them during early morning time periods versus later afternoon time periods. I learned to "Avoid days and times that don’t work for your subscribers." Because after all, it's all about the reader, and not me. Below is a video I want to share with you that will help you avoid the same mistakes I made with my autoresponder. I learned how to make my autoresponder smarter!
